Wood + Cardamom is more floral than its name lets on, and that's what makes it good. Italian bergamot, cardamom pod, and crisp apple open bright and juicy, then violet leaves, damask rose, and ambrox take over with a creamy, slightly powdery heart. Sandalwood, earthy woods, and musk anchor the base. The apple-rose-sandalwood trio is the real story here — balanced, a little sweet, and considerably more elegant than a straight spice-and-wood reading would suggest.

Composed by Hamid Merati-Kashani and released in 2024 as part of Michael Malul's "+" collection. Marketed toward men, but reviewers consistently call it perfectly unisex, and several name it the best thing the house makes. Performance is a strong point — reports of ten-plus hours with good projection are common. Best in fall and winter.
